Lucky Ducks can be adopted by making a $5.00 donation to a participating non-profit organization. Duck “Adopters” will have the opportunity to win one of these fabulous prizes at the 1st Annual Lucky Ducky Derby. On June 26 at approximately 3:00 p.m. all adopted Lucky Ducks will be launched into the pond at Spring Park in Tuscumbia during the 27th Annual Helen Keller Festival. Lucky Ducks will race their way to the finish line and the Lucky Duck that has the power to cross the finish line first will win its’ “adopter” the first place prize. Subsequent prizes will be awarded according to order of finish.
